Project Manager
Mostly Serious is looking for a Project Manager who helps good work get out the door. Your primary focus will be website projects, from kickoff through launch and ongoing improvements. You’ll also coordinate digital product and software work within agreed priorities and capacity.

You’ll bring clients, designers, developers, and other specialists together around a clear plan. When something changes, you’ll help the right people make a decision and keep everyone informed.
What you’ll do
- Build practical project plans with clear owners, milestones, dependencies, and next steps. Keep them current as work changes.
- Make handoffs useful: clarify requests, gather content, access, and approvals, and work with specialists on estimates and realistic schedules.
- Keep clients and teammates informed. Lead focused meetings, record decisions, and follow through on the things that could stall progress.
- Track scope, hours, and delivery risks. Raise competing priorities early, explain tradeoffs, and secure the right approvals before commitments change.
- Coordinate reviews, testing, launch, and support handoffs. Confirm that agreed work has been delivered and checked before closing it out.
- Organize feedback and testing for digital product work, and help the team improve repeatable coordination with practical tools, including AI.
How you’ll work
We value clear thinking, honest communication, and care for the people doing the work. You’ll create structure that helps the team move, keep meetings purposeful, and give specialists room to do their jobs. You’ll be direct about problems and thoughtful about how to resolve them.
You’ll own day-to-day delivery planning. Design and development leads own their disciplines; account and sales owners approve commercial commitments; product leaders set product direction and priorities. When priorities exceed capacity, you’ll bring options to the people who can resolve the conflict.
What you’ll bring
- Experience guiding website projects across design, content, development, and client review.
- Clear written and spoken communication, including asking good questions and handling difficult conversations with clients.
- Sound judgment about scope, estimates, budgets, dependencies, and when to escalate a problem.
- Working knowledge of website delivery, from content management and testing through launch, with enough technical curiosity to collaborate well with developers.
- A habit of keeping project records accurate and using project management and AI tools thoughtfully, checking their output before relying on it.
Agency or software delivery experience is helpful. What matters most is evidence that you can make complex work clear and keep it moving.
What success looks like
People know what happens next, who owns it, and when it is needed. Clients hear about changes while there is still time to act. Work reaches launch with agreed requirements checked and a clear handoff for what follows.
