OMB Bank

Putting a Personal Touch on Community Banking

A new best-in-class website to reflect growth while keeping customers first

OMB Bank has grown and evolved over the years, but still has a commitment of keeping their customers' needs first. As they embarked with Mostly Serious on creating a new website, the primary objective was to create a best-in-class experience for their users.

A big part of this experience is helping users navigate to exactly where they need to be, even if they weren't sure where that was. This was a textbook use case for content personalization.

Our Role

  • Web Design + Development
  • Craft CMS Websites
  • Creative Services
OMB Bank personalization quiz flow showing multi-step user experience. Starting with How can we help you today options for users who know what they want or need guidance, followed by a friendly quiz interface asking name and banking service needs. The flow continues with product selection cards for checking, savings, and loans, ultimately delivering personalized results with recommended products like Business Savings accounts and options to email results.

Content Personalization That Converts

A simple, multi-step quiz directs users to the products that best meet their specific needs. And this approach has produced tangible results.

In just the first half of 2023, over 3,000 unique visitors utilized this tool, leading to more than 800 conversions via an option for users to have their results emailed directly to them.

Award-Winning Digital Experience

The teams at OMB Bank and Mostly Serious aren't the only ones thrilled with this new site. OMB Bank won the 2022 ABA Brand Slam Award for Website Redesign from the American Bankers Association.

In the awards announcement, the ABA states, "OMB's new website is graphically stunning, easy for consumers to navigate and, perhaps most importantly, engaging for visitors." We couldn't say it better ourselves.

"It doesn't look like a typical bank website, but invites visitors to stay longer and enjoy an improved website experience."

Modern Interactive Design

OMB Bank's website needed to showcase their refreshed look and broader appeal as they have expanded their footprint in the region.

To achieve this, we combined interactive personalized content with eye-catching and engaging design. Subtle movement and an expanded color palette helped modernize their site and elevate it above their peers in the financial industry.
