Industry Analyses & Research
Our foundational research phase, Groundwork, digs up insights that help us do right by your business goals.
Our Groundwork research looks for truth by way of customer surveys, competitive peer analyses, and audits. That truth might be that your existing customers love you but that you need to go digital to find new ones. Or that your complex menu of services sends your site visitors running for the hills. It might even be that you're doing a lot of things right—but that our services can fill in what's missing. Our Groundwork research gives us truth that has a seat at the table for everything we create moving forward. It helps us make wiser decisions and flex more creative muscle. It empowers us to dismiss those imposter ideas that contradict our initial findings. And it's along for the ride as we concept, create, and execute solutions that put you on the path to victory.
Our Research in Action: 417 Magazine
Our Groundwork research shifted 417 Magazine's understanding about its readership.
In 2017, we got to work creating a custom suite of sleek, modern sites for 417 Magazine’s digital publications. We knew solid research would help us discover how 417's print readership absorbs its online content. So we distributed hundreds of customer surveys and pored over 417's site data. We scrutinized demographics across the board. We learned that what 417 perceived to be one loyal following was actually two audiences with their own content needs. Our Groundwork findings for 417 were many, but this one played a role in every major decision we made for 417 from that moment forward. With beautiful results.Read the Case Study
Helping Businesses Evolve
Research powers us with knowledge to help your business evolve.
Our devotion to uncovering the facts for our clients has made their wins that much sweeter. Our research helped us create a site structure for Paragon 360 that put its huge list of service offerings in a streamlined, easy-to-navigate hierarchy. Our research for The Carpet Shoppe, an iconic local flooring company, helped us identify which product-specific site features would appeal to untapped audiences that see their own values in The Carpet Shoppe’s brand story. Before diving into a brand refresh for Burrell Behavioral Health that would better support its future-forward mission in the mental health landscape, our research gave us insight into which site elements would be critical to the organization communicating its passion for accessibility, approachability, and mental health awareness.Read the Case Studies
