Our Research in Action: 417 Magazine

Our Groundwork research shifted 417 Magazine’s understanding about its readership.

In 2017, we got to work creating a custom suite of sleek, modern sites for 417 Magazine’s digital publications. We knew solid research would help us discover how 417’s print readership absorbs its online content. So we distributed hundreds of customer surveys and pored over 417's site data. We scrutinized demographics across the board. We learned that what 417 perceived to be one loyal following was actually two audiences with their own content needs. Our Groundwork findings for 417 were many, but this one played a role in every major decision we made for 417 from that moment forward. With beautiful results.
